Peterborough reverted to type for this year's race, with a biting cold head wind for all three divisions despite some sunshine.

Despite the conditions, Robs again put out a number of strong crews, and came home with some tankards to prove it.

Division 1

In the first division, the small boats raced over 2.5km, and the World Class Start boys showed their potential with the double coming 7th overall in their first ever race and against some very strong competition.

Oli Campbell won Novice Sculls, Grip and Shep "won" Elite Pairs (ok there may not have been any opposition, but a win is a win, right?!) and Colin Leonard just missed out on the S3 sculls pot. Rebecca Caroe won S2 Doubles in a composite with Cantabs' Susanna Holt. The women's development squad also put out a double and two singles, putting down some good markers which they will be aiming to improve on in the coming months.

Division 2

Again over 2.5km, the second division for 4's and Quads was won comfortably overall by a Rob Roy/Peterborough/St Neots composite S2 quad with Oli Campbell in it - the next fastest crew was 19seconds back!

Also competing was a Men's S4 4+ of Gripper, Brett Saunders, Chris Dale and David Latham, who were 2nd in their category.

Division 3

The last division, this time over 5km, was for the 8's. First off for Robs was the Men's squad 8. A solid but not sparkling row led to 2nd in S2, and 9th place overall.

The Robs/X-Press/Leicester composite was also 2nd in Women's S2. Finally the Women's Development Squad put in a solid row in a composite with Cantabs in Women's S3, finishing in 23.15.
